Sunflower girl, now her life has begun,
She’s showing her sunflower ways,
Sunflower girl, keeps her eyes to the sun,
While warming her face in his gaze.
Then once fully grown, with seeds of her own,
She proudly her petals displays.
Heavy her head when her growing is done,
She rests for the rest of her days. Continue reading Sunflower Girl
The stars all move in unison

No fair feathers grace your wing,
your beauty to declare.
Long bent beak and heavy brow,
intensely yellow stare.
When you speak it’s rusty squeak,
instead of pleasant song
With the other birds around,

Fall’s first leaf fell without a sound;
I saw it lying on the ground.

You’re the God of creation, who made earth and sky;
The Lord of salvation, who reigns from on high.

And I know that you’re real, I know that you’re there,
But here in my pain, and in my despair,
my heart longs to feel that you really care…
for me. Continue reading Do You Really Care? For Me?
